What’s Included That Makes Cruising a Great Value?

Your cruise fare includes accommodations, meals throughout the day including our 4-course dining rooms, 24-hour room service, entertainment, and an endless array of activities, including newly launched Discovery at Sea programs like Stargazing, kids crafts and more! Plus, you won’t have to pay for costly airfare, trains, or cabs to get you from one city to the next. When you take everything into consideration you'll discover that you can actually save money by going on a cruise, as opposed to a land-based vacation.

Will I Get Seasick?
Our larger ships are more stable with heavier weight and therefore are less prone to rolling motion. Most ships are so large and well-stabilized that it doesn’t even feel like you’re moving, especially in calmer waters such as Alaska’s Inside Passage and the Caribbean. The middle of the ship tends have less motion, as it is the natural balance point.

If you are prone to sea sickness, consider itineraries with fewer sea days. Port intensive cruises will give you the opportunity to spend more time on land. Consult your physician for a drug or alternative remedy if you’re susceptible to motion sickness.

How Do Gratuities Work?
To simplify the tipping process for our passengers, a discretionary gratuity charge will be automatically added to your shipboard account on a daily basis. The daily gratuity amounts are $16.50 per guest for suites, $15.50 per guest for mini-suites and club class, and $14.50 per guest for interior, ocean view, and balcony staterooms. This gratuity will be shared amongst those staff who have helped provide and support your cruise experience, including all waitstaff, stateroom stewards, buffet stewards, and housekeeping staff across the fleet. A 18% gratuity is added to bar charges and dining room wine accounts.

What Should I Wear?
Casual sportswear, including shorts, lightweight pants and jogging suits, is the order of the day both at sea and ashore in hotter climates. We recommend you bring a sweater, a jacket or an all-weather coat for cool evenings, and for shore excursions, depending on your destination. You'll also want comfortable shoes for strolling on deck.

For evening dining, keep with what you would wear to a nice restaurant at home: skirts/dresses, slacks, and sweaters for ladies, pants and open-neck shirts for men. Cruises five days or longer include at least one formal dining night: evening gowns and cocktail dresses for ladies and tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits for men.

Are All Princess Ships Alike?
Princess has everything from large ships carrying over 3,500 passengers to smaller, more intimate vessels accommodating just 680. Every vessel in our fleet is designed to give you plenty of room to yourself with spacious decks, comfortably elegant public spaces and inviting balcony staterooms. Yet each also creates wonderful opportunities to socialize with a variety of sensational activities and entertainment to suit your mood.

Is There Phone and Internet Access?
Mobile phone service is available for use when the ship is at sea, in international waters, and in other areas where such use is permitted. All charges will be conveniently billed to you directly by your mobile device provider.
Your mobile phone provider must have a roaming agreement with Maritime Communications Partner (MCP)or Wireless Maritime Services (WMS). Please contact your provider for more details on rates and availability.

Internet access is available on all Princess vessels through our 24-hour onboard Internet Cafe and wireless network -- which is available in some staterooms and various public areas including our world famous Piazzas. Please note that Internet access via satellite is significantly slower than high-speed connections on shore. Multiple internet time packages are available to purchase before, or during your cruise to access the internet at sea.

Will I Be Bored?
Only on  Princess can you enjoy evenings spent watching Movies Under the Stars, with complimentary blankets and popcorn. Meet friends for a small bite, wine by the glass and enjoy street performer-style entertainment in the Piazza. Is Cruising Safe?
1.7 million passengers sail with Princess annually. Your safety is our top priority. All of our onboard medical facilities meet or exceed the standards established by the American College of Emergency Physicians. Our onboard medical facilities are staffed by full-time registered doctors and nurses. In addition to twice-daily office hours, they are available 24 hours a day in the event of an emergency.

All ships must follow rules and regulations to protect passengers' (and crewmembers') safety while onboard. The Coast Guard conducts quarterly inspections of all ships that operate from U.S. ports, making sure they comply with emergency-response requirements. Ships operate under international rules that regulate everything from fire safety to navigation and maritime security. We were the first in our industry to have a virtual training facility for our bridge crew, which we call the SeaSmart program. We also have voluntarily installed fire sprinklers in all cabins and balconies on all our ships.

What are the Rooms like and How Do I Choose?
All staterooms include 100% cotton, high-thread count linens, a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, safe and complimentary room service. Plus, the little extras you find in the best hotels — fresh fruit (by request), evening bed turn-down, chocolates on your pillow, complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body lotion — are provided in every stateroom. We offer a wide range of staterooms options from spacious balcony staterooms to more expansive Mini Suites, as well as Club Class Mini Suites which feature an array of VIP touches. There are also luxurious Full Suites with premium upgrades and complimentary features like laundry and professional cleaning services and more. Our Oceanview and Interior staterooms are a great value for budget conscious travelers. For groups and families, we offer the convenience of connecting staterooms and Family Suites, which sleep up to eight guests.

What is a Shore Excursion and How Do I Make Reservations?
Exploring ports of call will be one of the highlights of your cruise, and one of the best ways to do this is on a shore excursion. You will find a variety of options available to suit your taste including family friendly options with discounted rates for children.

Excursions offered through Princess are carefully selected and provided by reputable tour operators who meet the high standards of Princess. Your security and comfort are of paramount importance. Every effort is made to ensure that each tour operates safely.

Princess organizes your tours in advance so your time in port is maximized and worry-free. We closely monitor tour departures and returns and we are able to hold the ship in the event your tour is delayed.

Payment Information: A $260 CAD or $200 USD deposit per person, and TravelStore’s non-refundable planning fee are due at time of booking to secure a reservation. Your reservation will then be processed and confirmed once your deposit is received and you submit your agreement to these Terms & Conditions. A confirmation will then be emailed to you. For credit card payments, we do not presently have a online payment option. Your TravelStore travel planner can take your information by phone, or you can mail us a check. Cancellation Policy: All guests are required to pay a cancellation fee (including third and fourth berths) if they cancel their cruise, cruisetour or Cruise Plus package. Cancellation fees are based on the fare paid, excluding Taxes, Fees & Port Expenses, transfers, fuel supplement, shore and land excursions, and most special service items. Cancellation Penalties are in effect as of November 9, 2020.

Additional cancellation fees apply for air tickets. After travel begins, there is no refund for unused services, or unused portions of cruise or cruise/tour.

Group Host: A minimum of 32 paid passengers required for Michelle Russell to travel as host. In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness, family emergencies or acts of God and Michelle Russell is not able to travel as host, there are no refunds or cancellation fee waivers due to passengers. If such an event were to occur, TravelStore will attempt to reschedule another cruise or arrange an alternative opportunity for passengers to meet Michelle Russell, but we are not obliged to do so.

Travel Insurance: TravelStore strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance to protect your investment and requires a written waiver should you elect not to do so. Please contact your TravelStore advisor for details and assistance. Should you have your own personal coverage for when you travel out of country or wish to waive the purchase of protection that travel insurance you will need to email your travel planner with a statement of waiver. Your approval of these terms also constitutes proof TravelStore has offered you travel insurance protection. Should you elect to waive the purchase of, or do not otherwise have, adequate coverage, TravelStore will not be held responsible for any claims.

Documents Required: Each traveler is responsible for obtaining proper travel documents for each destination visited. For travel anywhere outside of the United States, U.S. citizens must have a passport valid for at least six months beyond the conclusion of your travel. Citizens of other countries should consult their consulate. It is solely your responsibility to ensure all documents needed are complete and current. International tickets cannot be issued until we receive a copy of the name page of each passenger's passport.

Confidentiality: We respect your privacy. Travel arrangements are kept confidential among those that need to know in working on your trip arrangements. If you are planning a “surprise” trip for someone, or for any other reason need to preclude us from discussing your arrangements with family and/or those you are traveling with, please advise your travel advisor. Changes & Modifications: A service charge of $50USD per booking may apply for each change made after the initial booking request has been approved by you and the service confirmed by TravelStore with the supplier. For cancellations, airlines and other vendors may assess cancellation fees which will be passed on to you. In some cases, suppliers of services may provide no refund. Once travel has commenced, any changes or cancellation is at your expense. Information will be given on request at the time of booking.

Our Responsibility: TravelStore acts as your representative in securing the arrangement you have requested. TravelStore, its agents and employees, act only as agents for the passenger in regard to travel by road, air, sea or by mode of transportation or local conveyance, and assumes no liability for personal injury, property damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity incurred by any person arising out of the negligence of any direct or supplemental air carrier, hotel or person engaged in conveying the passenger, providing rental cars, or rendering any of the services or accommodations being offered in these tours; nor shall TravelStore be responsible for any injuries, death, damages, loss or delay in any means of transportation or by reason of any event beyond TravelStore’s actual control. Any such losses or expenses must be borne by the passenger. The right is reserved to substitute hotels of similar category or change schedules without prior notice should circumstances so require. In the event of a change in the itinerary necessitated by factors or conditions beyond the actual control of TravelStore, such as strikes, political and social unrest, labor problems, climatic aberrations, or any act of God, no refund can be made nor will credit be given, provided that in the event of such change TravelStore shall provide accommodations and services of comparable quality and standards as set forth in the itinerary.
