The Chris Plante Show – live from Washington DC – offers listeners the inside word on the day’s top news stories with razor-sharp insight AND a unique sense of humor.

Chris is a recovering member of the Washington media, having spent 17 years covering Breaking News, the Pentagon and National Security issues. His knowledge and experience – along with a gift for storytelling – combine to create one of the most fast-paced, Entertaining programs on the radio today. With over a decade of strong ratings in the nation’s capital, The Chris Plante Show has demonstrable success in building and maintaining an audience. His listeners love him!

Chris received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors’ Association (RTNDA) for his reporting from the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001.

Representing the third generation of his family that has been “on-the-air” in radio and television, Chris brings a unique world-view, and largely conservative/libertarian values to his role as talk show host.

Marching in lock-step with no politician, Chris says his political party is “Practi-crat”, “…because of my distinctly practical political leanings.”

The Chris Plante Show is now heard nationally on over 65 different radio stations across America; including WABC (NY), WLS (Chicago) and WMAL (Wash DC).

A journey fit for royalty! Travel to the smaller gems of Northern Europe and take your fill British culture. Take a stroll along the pretty port of England’s Falmouth and wander unhurried through the riches of Osbourne House on the Isle of Wight – Queen Victoria’s summer residence. Zeebrugge and Le Havre beg discovery, while an overnight in London needs no introduction.

With the importance of food in Italian culture you would expect dining to be a high priority at Silversea. And it most assuredly is. Moreover, gastronomic excellence is a given, thanks to our partnership with the prestigious Grands Chefs Relais & Châteaux. No matter where you dine, their influence is readily apparent in the great diversity and freshness of your selections. And every ship also features a diversity of dining venues. The main dining room, The Restaurant, is an open-seating venue where you can dine whenever you please, and where impromptu dinners with new-found friends is a matter of course. After all, with our worldly crowd of international travelers, socializing is one of the things people love most about our luxury cruise ships.
