Tune in to the Dori Monson show and you'll get a whirlwind of talk radio. Listeners of his show are hit with the day's big stories - plus a mix of wild interviews and offbeat topics.
Dori's daily rants on pop culture, politics and sports have made his show consistently one of the highest rated talk shows in the Pacific Northwest. Monson took on the Washington Legislature in 1997 and was credited with being a driving force behind Washington's tougher drunk driving laws.
During his coverage of the 2008 Presidential Election, Dori took his show to Iowa for the caucuses, New Hampshire for the primaries, the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado, as well as the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
From his gut reactions, to hard hitting news, to picking football games against a pair of nuns, you never know what to expect from “The Dori Monson Show.” But he guarantees “three hours of OUTSTANDING radio entertainment.”
Prior to coming to KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, Monson was an award-winning television sports producer and reporter in Seattle. His work includes coverage of major events including the Olympics, the World Series, the Super Bowl, and the Rose Bowl.
A Seattle native from the mean streets of Ballard, Dori earned his degree from the University of Washington. His community involvement includes work with the Seattle Children’s Theater, Harborview Medical Center, Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center, and coaching youth sports.
Dori stays active with his thrice-weekly basketball games. His other activities include golf, racquetball, tennis and bicycling.
