The Show

Tune in to the Dori Monson show  and you'll get a whirlwind of talk radio. Listeners of his show are hit with the day's big stories - plus a mix of wild interviews and offbeat topics.

Dori's daily rants on pop culture, politics and sports have made his show consistently one of the highest rated talk shows in the Pacific Northwest. Monson took on the Washington Legislature in 1997 and was credited with being a driving force behind Washington's tougher drunk driving laws.

During his coverage of the 2008 Presidential Election,  Dori took his show to Iowa for the caucuses, New Hampshire for the primaries, the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado, as well as the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

From his gut reactions, to hard hitting news, to picking football games against a pair of nuns, you never know what to expect from “The Dori Monson Show.” But he guarantees “three hours of OUTSTANDING radio entertainment.”

The Host
Prior to coming to KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, Monson was an award-winning television sports producer and reporter in Seattle. His work includes coverage of major events including the Olympics, the World Series, the Super Bowl, and the Rose Bowl.

A Seattle native from the mean streets of Ballard, Dori earned his degree from the University of Washington.  His community involvement includes work with the Seattle Children’s Theater, Harborview Medical Center, Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center, and coaching youth sports.

Dori stays active with his thrice-weekly basketball games. His other activities include golf, racquetball, tennis and bicycling.

Sultry Rhythms & Larger-Than-Life Culture

Where time stands still, the music sizzles in the streets and you can’t help but fall in love - with the streets, the people, the moment. Welcome to Cuba.

From the virgin forests and sparkling seaside vistas to the classic cars and pastel-colored buildings lining its cobblestoned streets from yesteryear, Cuba has captivated the imagination of travelers from around the world. The archipelago brims with both cultural treasures and atmospheric city enclaves as well as natural wonder - biosphere reserves, national parks and UNESCO World Heritage sites. Wherever you travel, the heart and soul of each destination comes to life through the local people, a rich and diverse cultural mosaic that continues to shape this dynamic and vibrant country.

Destination Highlights
Embrace the heart and soul of Havana as you stroll the windswept Malecón, the popular promenade hugging the city’s harbor.
Travel outside of Havana, and enjoy a glimpse into Cuba’s past in lush UNESCO-protected Viñales Valley, where oxen still plow the fields and traditional agricultural practices reign supreme.
Attend a performance at Santiago de Cuba’s Casa de la Trova, home of the renowned trova style of music which fuses African rhythms with Spanish guitar.
Explore the architectural gems in the historic center of Cienfuegos, recognized by UNESCO World Heritage for its well-preserved collection of 19th-century Neoclassical buildings inspired by the Spanish Enlightenment.

Memorable dining begins with open-seating, as it allows you to dine when you are ready and with whomever you choose. Regardless of which of our restaurants you select, there are no dining surcharges. Meanwhile, you can savor Continental cuisine, Canyon Ranch Spa Cuisine and gourmet vegan dishes in The Grand Dining Room, and made-to-order American favorites in Terrace Café.

Healthy living and spiritual awareness are at the very heart of the Canyon Ranch philosophy. Oceania Cruises and Canyon Ranch have recreated that unique, inspiring environment on board our ships. Through well-being explorations ashore, complimentary fitness classes, light and healthy Canyon Ranch Spa Cuisine and a multitude of healing therapies, you can discover ways to unleash your untapped potential and make positive changes in your life.
